Our research
In a clinical dermatological controlled application study, we had real people showing real results! Over 3 days, 10 healthy female subjects applied the lip balm to a section of forearm, which was tested for moisturisation levels. Methodology
In a clinical dermatological controlled application study, 10 healthy female subjects aged 18 years and over applied Dermal Therapy Lip Balm enriched with Manuka honey on the volar forearm four times daily to determine its efficacy in increasing skin moisture compared to untreated skin.
The moisture level was measured on the volar forearm with a corneometer by recording the electrical capacitance of skin surface over a consecutive 3-day period: Day 0, 1 and 3. The higher measurement value corresponds to higher skin’s hydration.
Result
A mean increase in moisturisation level was observed among the participants after day 1 and day 3 of application of the lip balm. An improvement in skin moisture by 92.91% was observed on day 3. It can be concluded that the application of Dermal Therapy Lip Balm enriched with Manuka honey increases the skin’s moisture level significantly, when compared with untreated one.
